You are guaranteed a warm welcome from Phil and Judith at our family run Free house. At the Golden Lion you’ll find a wide selection of sixteen top quality beers and lagers, not to mention a variety of wines and ciders – so there’s something to suit every palette.
We have a strong and diverse adult local trade, with ages ranging from 18-96! Some of our most popular events are the annual beer festival, the summer pig roast and regular screenings of football/rugby matches from Sky and Setanta Sports. Saturday night is always a hit too, with live music from various performers.
We are one of the few pubs left that haven’t entered the food market and have a great reputation as to the quality of our cellar. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, traditional establishment where you can be sure of getting a good pint by a real log fire and a warm friendly welcome.
